Press Display is a site that contains many newspapers around the world. According to PressDisplay.com from NewspaperDirect, Press Display is “the world’s largest online newspaper kiosk, where you can browse and read hundreds of full content premium newspapers and magazines from around the globe.” With Press Display, you could read the latest issues of many newspapers.
Generally, you could pay for a subscription to this service, but if your library subscribes to this service, you will get to use PressDisplay.com for free. This is a great resource, especially if you are travelling or moving to another location, but wish to stay connected to the news at home. One of great benefits that I have found is no ink-stained fingers from handling newspapers and no need to recycle old newspapers. Plus, if you have a notebook or a tablet, you could now read newspapers from anywhere with Internet access.
Here is how to gain access to PressDisplay.com for free.
1. First, contact your local library to see if it provides this valuable service. Here is an example of how to login through my local library, Vancouver Public Library.
2. Then, I click on the Digital Newspapers link.
3. Next, the library site asks for my library card number and PIN.
4. When my login is correct, I will be brought to PressDisplay.com, where I can access Pressdisplay for free.
5. Next, I could browse or search for any newspapers available, including New York Post, Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times.
