Jun 10th, 2008 by Brian
Purchase a Starbucks Card (the minimum amount is $5) and register it at the site. Starbucks will mail a free drink coupon to you. Note that if you have a depleted Starbucks Card, you could register it too.
“Limit one per customer. Two per household. Must join between June 3–July 14. Your coupon for a free beverage will arrive in the mail within 2 weeks (U.S.) or 3 weeks (CAN). Offer expires July 14, 2008. Good for one handcrafted beverage per person with coupon. Offer good only at participating Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted. Cannot be combined with other offers.”

so why can’t I register my card when it tells me I have to…
I registered my card last year. I've been getting discounts up until this week. The barista told me my card wasn't registered so, I'm on-line to register a card I registered last year. It told me it's already registered. I knew that. Why have my discounts ended? By the way, this website is hard to navigate. It took several screens and lots of reading to figure out how to register the card. Why don't you create a BIG button that says REGISTER CARD HERE on it.
Hi Elaine,
Thanks for your comments. I would try calling 1-800-STARBUCKS for help. Additionally, it may be better to have a second registered card as a backup.
Thanks again for your comments.
I have attempted to phone S.B. to reg. my cards. I only get a recording to go to this lousy excuse of a site…
I am on my third card. When attempting to register them the site said that they were not valid numbers. So i bought my third one, same thing. That's my problem,…
So whats your problem. If they could be registered at the store, I would know that it is another bad batch, (2) YOU DON'T INTEND TO INSURE THE SAFETY OF MY INVESTMENT NOR ANYTHING ELSE YOU CLAIM TO HAVE OFFERED…
Hey I concur with your sentiments, I too was told my card was not registered after using it for some time. Then once I did try and reregister I ran into the same issues, difficulty navigating etc….. I finally assumed that there was no longer a registration for the free card only a "club" type membership. Funny the PR towards Starbucks customer service was never an issue until this card confusion occured. Later
